Parking has always been a hassle in the Telawi streets with so many eateries and lifestyle boutiques booming in the area. I was really lucky to have spotted a few vacant illegal parking spots right in front of Pelita while passing through. It was drizzling lightly and I did not have an umbrella with me, so good riddance.
Antipodean Cafe
The place is located at the street right in front of Bangsar Village and next to La Bodega. It was barely 11am and there was already a crowd of people waiting for seats outside the restaurant.
Inspired by Australian and New Zealand cafes, Antiopodean cafe boost a contemporary cafe interior and likewise on their Coffee Roasters & Kiwi\Australian Cafe Cuisine. A very popular breakfast spot for the expats and locals alike.
The menu is scribbled on a chalkboard where everyone can see. There is a before 11am and after 11am menu. Did not pay attention to the differences though.
Big Breakfast. Rm18.00.
All-Day Breakfast. Rm18.00.
French Toast with bacon and maple syrup. Rm18.00.
Cappucino. Rm8.00.
Antipodean uses high quality Indonesian coffee beans. The brew was very aromatic and smooth. I have read in many reviews that Antipodean has one of the best coffee(s) around, a definite must-try.
Group picture time.
Overall Rating: 8/10 for the decent portion of breakfast meal and value for money. The toasts was toasted to crisp, scrambled eggs was not too runny and the bacon was done just right. Coffee was a plus also. This place is beyond doubt one of the best breakfast places in Bangsar to visit in my humble opinion or perhaps in KL itself even. I would definitely return.
