Summer Steamboat Restaurant @ Sunway Mentari - Horrible Experience

This year, me and a couple of secondary school friends decided to have our annual chinese new year dinner at All-you-can-eat Summer steamboat restaurant located opposite sunway pyramid. This restaurant is located on the 2nd floor, so please be sure not to take the wrong flight of steps up.

No pictures of the restaurant layout simply because there wasn't much to boast about. It was very basic. Also to note, they did not switch on the air conditioner until 9pm?

On the buffet spread, you can either go for a round of take-and-make your own steamboat or you can opt for the BBQed seafood version which you pick your selection of seafood then passed it on to the BBQ sifu's and collect it later.

There's a choice of 4 different soup base. Plain, Herbal, Tomyam, or "Malat", which is basically a Taiwanese inspired version of a spicy soup. We went for plain and Malat.

This is the first round of my BBQed catch. Me and my friend barbariously finished the whole plate within 15 minutes or so. Was starving like that.

Spot the lizard. Alive one. The lizard was jumping around in the tray. Needless to hygiene gone down the drain. I was THIS close to stop eating after that.

Overall rating: 3/10 widely downgraded by cleanliness and hygiene. The freshness of the seafood was also questionable. The only good thing about this place compared to other all-you-can-eat steamboat restaurants is the huge thumbs up for being affordable and its complimentary BBQ services. $24 pax per person for walk-ins and 5% discount if booked the day before. Variety was also decent.
