Artisan Roast Coffee
Founded by the same partners as RAW, Artisan Roasts Coffee is no stranger to the cafe business. Artisan Roast’s fourth and fifth cafés worldwide, in Taman Tun Dr Ismail and Bangsar respectively, are doing really well I must say, having recently won Time Out KL’s best coffee place in 2012.
Harvested from around the world, the coffee beans used in Artisan Roast are always changing. Coffee beans are sourced, stored, roasted and prepared on their own.
Set against a simple backdrop of wood, stone, brick, metal and mortar, this place though small - it was warm and cozy.
The rustic interior design features a combination of salvaged fittings, paneled walls and a few antique decorations. They were combined with a few contemporary elements and the contrast created was pleasant.
There is also a selection of delectable cakes and small eats available in store.
All Coffee, Cakes and Tea typically costs Rm10 per portion.
Latte. Rm10.
Cappuccino. Rm10.
My brew of aromatic, filtered coffee has mild acidity and body.
Quiche. Rm10.
Overall Rating: 7/10 for the coffee only. Not entirely amazed by its cakes and pastries selection.
