Feeling stuffed after our brunch at Mr & Ms Café, but not entirely satisfied just yet, we drove around the Oasis, in search of a coffee place.
It was nice, zig-zagging in an air-conditioned car, while keeping note of the restaurants that interest me along the way. Somehow or rather, the place reminded me of Plaza Damas.
Epiphany Coffee & Tobacco
We passed a couple of coffee houses before settling for Epiphany, simply because we noticed a crowd from the door. Hence, the popular saying - judging a book by its cover - we assumed the coffee was good. Was it really though?
Epiphany Coffee & Tabacco uses Indonesian coffee beans for their coffee, and is roasted using their specialty coffee roaster, The Flightless Mule. Also popular for being a tobacconist, they offer a wide range of Roll-Your-Own (RYO) tobacco products, cigars, snus and other tobacco accessories.
I was, obviously, there for their coffee and cakes only.
Hot Chocolate. Rm10.
I almost missed the absent chocolate dustings on top. That said, the hot chocolate was heart-warming and pretty good.
Cappuccino. Rm10.
My friend taught me something new that day. Though I'm quite sceptical of its theories.
She said - as long as the latte art or foam do not sink to the bottom of the cup while being drank, meant that it was a skilfully made cuppa. If it sinks, send it back!
On a side note, all coffees served here are double shots - that's great, but in this case, I prefer a less-bodied coffee, personal preference no less.
Peanut Butter Cake. Rm9.
I was craving for peanut butter that day - and tadah, I found peanut butter cake!
It was like having peanut butter, but not as peanut butterish, and more buttery - if you get what I mean. I didn't quite fancy the light chocolate sponge cake though.

Overall Rating: 5/10. Smokers, especially cigar lovers, you're in for a treat. They have a cigar room, equipped with a collection of cigars, where you can leisurely enjoy puffing one, while having a cuppa. Being a non-smoker myself, I wasn't particularly fond of the air-filled smoke that ensued from the alfresco area. Tip: Pick a seat far away from the entrance!

You didn't go try the Tobaccos? XD
ReplyDeleteWhat do you expect, the place itself is saying that it's coffee and tobacco. Of course you're gonna get a lot of smokers there. LOL.
Is that why you're giving a 5?
Partially on a non-smoker stance, yes. However, like I've written above, the coffee and cake was good but wasn't fabulous. Hence, the rating =)
