Preview of DeBudget.com Cafe & Bar

Sometimes, it surprises me how eating at a restaurant has changed so much then and now. Ordering in the past used to circle around forms of memorization and jotting down on a piece of crumpled paper. Now - they use Ipads and Tabs. Whats more in the digital revolution - you can now order online before heading to a restaurant and it's cheaper!

If you are a big fan of discounts and online deals. I've got something tempting lined-up for you in today's write up!

Slightly over a month back, I was invited to attend the preview of De Budget Cafe & Bar at IOI Boulevard.

De'Budget.com is Malaysia’s first online pre-purchase café bar which offers you a concept somewhat similar to that of budget airlines - the earlier you buy, the more you save. It's like a deals website - except that you can purchase at any point in time!

Don't get confused though, you can still do your last minute walk-in's. Pre-ordering your food and drinks online is merely a cheaper alternative, if you already have your night planned out that is.

So how does it work? Few simple steps. Firstly, logon to DeBudget.com

At the XPack Tab, you'd get a bundle of pre-pack goodies at a discounted price. 

At Rm38, it entitles you to 1 Tower of Tiger Draught (2.5L) OR 4 Pints of Guinness OR 4 Pints of Heineken.

Prices start from RM10.00 onwards daily, limited to three (3) packs per person. However, do note that the XPack is strictly for consumption at De’Budget.com outlets and cannot be taken away.

If beer is not your drink of choice, fret not as there are special promotions for liquor, wines and even champagne which you can purchase online as well. 

For heavy drinkers, go to the Promotions tab.

Tip: To get the best deal, you'd have to play around with the outlets and dates here. Different outlets have different promotions happening at any one point in time. Also, the earlier you buy, the cheaper it'll be!

Upon confirming your order, opt to Pay via credit or debit card or Paypal.

Payment can be made by either credit card or debit card (which uses PayPal secure payment gateway), or by using your PayPal account. Upon successful payment, a QR code will be emailed to you. Just show the code on your smartphone to redeem. As simple as that!

On that note, De Budget Cafe & Bar is not affiliated with any one of Malaysia's budget airline.

After all of that, are you eager to see what the place has got to offer just yet?

Drinks wise - there are a large selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks available. Being a GAB outlet, expect the usual draught options – Tiger, Guinness and Heineken. If you prefer more kick - try their cocktails, wines, liquors and champagne. But of course, for the non-alcoholic-inspired-persons, feel free to opt coffee, teas, smoothies, fruit juices, soft drinks, and mocktails. 

Food wise - choose from breakfast offerings (opening until 2.00pm), sandwiches (opening until 5.00pm), appetizers, main courses, snacks, and desserts.

Look out for the second De'Budget.com outlet which will be opening in Sunway Giza, Kota Damansara during the later parts of June 2014. Opening promotions such as RM10.00 for a tower of beer on the launch day awaits!
