To date, I've visited Premier Clinic twice, with similar treatments done twice, with a gap of 3-4 weeks apart from each other. I have about 1-2 more sessions to go, depending on how well my skin heals. In about a month from now, I will be doing a post-treatment review.
Now, before I dwell into the nitty-gritty of my treatment, I want to tell you about my experience in Premier Clinic.
What I really liked about the place - everyone here is nice, which is profoundly rare if I may just bluntly add. Considering that most re-known skin and aesthetic clinics that I know of in town, are known for their notorious attitudes. Here, everyone smiles, greets, and constantly asks if everything is alright - from the doctors and nurses to the beauticians and even the receptionists.
What I'm trying to emphasize here is, apart from the reputation that a clinic carries, the people and ambiance plays a huge role. As a matter of fact, all treatments are done the same way. Its the people performing the treatments that makes the world of difference. Although Premier Clinic is still very new, the resident doctors carries with them years of experience.
I don't want to dread my appointment - the long wait, the sulking nurse and the expressionless doctor; I want to look forward to it and feeling fantastic when I step out - like how I felt the past two times I've visited.

Now, what I will do is to zoom in and focus on each treatment that I went through, minus the complicated jargon of course. Starting with SilkPeel, followed by EC, Skin Peel and LED therapy.
SilkPeel Dermalinfusion
The SilkPeel Dermalinfusion incorporates microdermabrasion as a part its process, infused with solutions to penetrate deep into the skin layers with its patented technique. (More information here)
A suction-like pen filled with medical grade solution is used to gently scrape off the impurities on the skin. It is painless, soothing even. They call this the lunch-time facial, taking merely 15 minutes to complete and produces the similar results as a full facial. There were slight peeling and immediate redness but went off after a short while. My skin felt really smooth after that.
Electro Cautery Treatment
Electrocautery is a safe and effective method of getting rid of extremely clogged pores, where an electric current will be used to remove the tissue.
I have a couple of congested pores on my cheeks which cannot be extracted the traditional way. Before the treatment started, Dr Kee placed a grounding pad on my back, just in case electricity runs through. I first heard a buzzing sound, followed by a loud zap when the needle reached the surface of my skin, then a strong metal-like burning smell. The pain was bearable - felt like a large ant bit me. The part which probably bothered me the most was the burning smell. Tiny brown-spots will form but will disappear after a few days.
Skin Peel Therapy
Tri-chloroacetic acid (TCA) and is one of the original skin rejuvenation peels, recommended for men and women of all ages wanting to improve moderate to severe sun damage and or signs of ageing. (More information here)
For skin peel, Dr Kee started by applying a thin layer of TCA on my skin by using a cotton pad. I felt itchiness and a mild stinging sensation, particularly on the key acne prone areas - my cheek and chin. Again, this is entirely normal. The application took about 10 minutes and was immediately removed after that with a damp cloth (1st session) and neutralizer spray (2nd session). The entire process took about 30 minutes.
LED Photomodulation Therapy
Since I was blind-folded the entire time, being informed on what to expect before each therapy was very important to me. Before the session begin, the beauty adviser, lifted my hand to feel the distance between the machine and my face - and that was a nice added touch. For this therapy, a bright and warm light is placed on top of my face immediately after the chemical peel for 15 minutes.
