POKC stands for People Of Kheng Chew. Seriously? Who's Kheng Chew? Where's Kheng Chew? Alright.
POKC
POKC's menu carries a pages-full of Modern Hainanese dishes. For me, all I know about Hainanese cuisine are those delicious Chicken Chops and Roti Babi. Here, however, are part and parcel of that, with the rest leaning more towards the Western palate.
They also carry a range of unique American and African teas and these are not available on the standard menu. Remember to ask!
Latte. Rm10.
Earl Of Harlem Tea. Rm10.
Enchanted Lamb Stew. Rm24.90.
Cordon Bleu Koi. Rm24.90.
Obviously biased - I love Cordon Bleu. And thankfully, POKC's version was very nicely done and came with my favorite crisp sweet potato fries and brown sauce.
Tofufah Cheesecake. Rm14.
Of the 8-10 dessert option that was glanced through in the menu, only 3 was available and fast running out. We picked the taufufah cheesecake, which turned out to be a pretty good choice. Imagine a healthier option of a smooth half-baked cheesecake. This came with ginger syrup at the side.
Overall Rating: 7/10. The dishes we sampled today was good - not great - but good. We couldn't find fault in it really. But I can't seem to find a good enough reason for me to come back for more - for the taufufah cheesecake perhaps?
