El Meson
We sat right at the end of the restaurant, where there were no other occupied tables, so no worries there, we weren't being a nuisance to other hungry patrons. Not forgetting the wonderful dose of Spanish food that complimented our merry mood that afternoon!
Sorry to disappoint - but no paella this time round.

Hazelnut Latte (Rm12). Pineapple Juice (Rm11). Cranberry Juice (Rm11).

Complimentary Breads.
Freshly toasted breads with spreads of garlic butter. Great start already!
Champinones. Rm18.
Jamon Iberico (50g). Rm28.
Thinly sliced cured ham, that had hints of addictive saltiness to it, served with toasted pan con tomate.
Eggs Benedict Salmon. Rm25.
A non-conventional Spanish dish this one, but my friend insisted. These were pretty pleasant overall, though I do presist that there're better Spanish-ish dishes to order here.
Capellini Carbonara Bacon. Rm28.
Let me tell you this - this was the perfect pasta dish. The capellini was done el dante, the fine cream and manchego cheese sauce were sweet-and-salty without being overly rich, and the crisp bacon bits were to die for.
El Meson Pork Chop. Rm35.

This pork chop was probably the least favorite of the lots. I kind of expected the pork to be a little on the drier side, but it turned out even drier than that. Served on cauliflower puree and spinach at the side.
Lemon Meringue. Rm12.
When I saw this dessert at the counter, I knew I had to give it a go - and didn't regret it one bit. Fluffy meringue served on lemon custard fillings and shortcrust pastry.
Overall Rating: 8/10. El Meson is probably one of the better Spanish restaurants I've visited to date. My other favorites are Ohla Tapas and Estilo (a pork-free Spanish restaurant). Next on the list, Mercat @ Bangsar and Pinchos @ Changkat.
