A place which I've been dying to visit and regretted for not doing so earlier. What a wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon!

Now, lets dive straight to the point.
The plan was to sample 14 dishes that afternoon - I think they were secretly trying to put us all into a food coma.
As if that weren't enough, we all shared another 3 more after that - no complaints however. Hence, not wanting to bore you with the nitty-gritty of each dish in this writeup, I will be displaying more photographs than words, highlighting the ones that I really liked.
Are you ready for a Japan-tastic feast?
I'm positive that anyone would pull out their cameras for the Chef Pick Sashimi Platter (Rm150). Thick cuts of fresh sashimi, delicately laden in a trio of - Salmon, Yellowtail Tuna, Maguro, Kanpachi and Sweet Shrimp. |
The Smoked Duck & Pineapple Skewer (Rm18/3 Skewers) was probably the best rendition I've had, wonderfully smoked with melt in the mouth texture. So good that I decided to pass on the Chicken Wing (Rm18/3 Skewers). |
One of my favorites today. The crispness of sweet salmon skin paired with the richness of foie gras was simply sensational. This dish is only available in the Omakase Menu. |
There's nothing quite like this Salmon Ikura Millefeuille (Rm45). Bursty pop of roe and juicy salmon bites, on a pool of avocado and wasabi sauce. Remember to eat it with those Japanese crackers! It's hard to stop, seriously. |
I think I've fallen in love with roe - anything with roe on it and I'm sold. The Hotate Chawan Mushi (Rm30) came with a huge lump of scallop, served on what I thought was one of the smoothest steamed egg. |
Seafood Soup (Rm18) consisting of a medley of seafood offerings in a bowl of sweet and spicy broth. |
I wasn't a fan of the Deep fried Cream Korokke (Rm22). The seafood and cream filling combination came rather cloying for me, personal preference nonetheless. |
We also shared a nicely grilled Kuromutsu Shio (Rm80), or what they call Black Oily Fish. |
The Tabiuo Carpachio (Rm90) had wonderful medley of textures and flavors - thin slices of fresh sashimi topped with a squirt of mayonaise and roe. |
We could smell the Wagyu Teppanyaki (Rm180) from afar! Exquisite cuts of wagyu which had melt in the mouth textures, made gratifying on a hotplate. Underneath, lightly charred mushroom slices. |
The Lobster Roll (Rm88) was difficult to photograph but tasted wonderful, tucked with lobster, cucumber, salmon roe and wrapped in mango slices. |
Only order the Cheezy Roll (Rm38) if you have a knack for cheese. |
Braised Wafu Spaghetti (Rm48) tangled with a flower crab and seafood. Love-Hate relationship with crab - love to eat; hate to crack. You'd have to get your hands dirty for this one. |
The Sanuki Pasta (Rm38) was a swanky stirfried udon dish, loaded with foie gras and seafood. |
Overall Rating: 8/10. There was a lot of first-time for me today. I think thats why I enjoyed my meal so much - it was interesting and exciting. Having said that, prices do not come cheap, be prepared to fork out an average of Rm80-100/person for a pleasurable meal here.
My Top Picks:
. Smoked Duck & Pineapple Skewere
. Salmon Ikura Millefeuille
. President's Roll
. Wagyu Teppanyaki
. Tiramisu (Omakase Menu only). I will definitely be back!
