The Forum @ The Signature, Sri Hartamas - Average Melbourne Food.

It was Deepavali break. The roads were clear, the weather was fine, my hair felt great and the company I had that afternoon - fantastic.

The Forum

I don't know about you, but I love restaurants with high glass ceilings. Maybe because I feel less confined in bigger spaces or perhaps its my penchant towards beaming natural lighting. Photography enthusiast - you would know what I mean. Pick your seats wisely however, you wouldn't want to be basking under mid-afternoon sun throughout your meal.

Tip: If you're up for some breakfast and brunch goodies, go to Proof Cafe & Sky Lounge upstairs. Head to The Forum, downstairs, if you're up for a full on dinner treat. Under the same management, both restaurants deck extensive Melbourne inspired menus.

And as for me - too late to swap. I was only told otherwise after placing my order. Going against my advise, today, I will be having lunch at The Forum instead.

Honey Lemon. Rm8.

Hot honey lemon to soothe the throat. I think I need to have this habitually, everyday.

Prana Chai. Rm16.

First in my books - this Prana Chai, consisting of a Masala blend of Indian spices (strong cinammon hints), sweet Australian honey and soy milk. The nicely balanced tea did a great job in cutting through the richness of the milk.

Shimeiji Mushroom Risotto. Rm24.50.

Our vegetarian risotto came packed with perfectly cooked arborio rice, edamame, carrot, asparagus and generous sprinkles of parmesan.

Brunch Souffle. Rm22.90.

I wasn't a fan of this however. The savory cheese souffle came a tad dry and there were barely any beef bacon hidden beneath - was there any at all? The waldorf salad drizzled with passion fruit vinaigrette were pleasant nevertheless.

Salted Caramel Bread Pudding. Rm16.80.

The berries compote added a nice twang to the bread butter pudding, topped with stripes of hardened caramel and chocolate ice cream. Sour but ever so lightly sweet, though I was really expecting better quality ice cream.

Overall Rating: 6/10. That afternnon, I spend a good three hours sitting by the window panes, observing sunny skies shifting to gloomy rainfall then back to clear skies again. Sitting there, it felt oddly calming and comforting at the same time - I think its the high glass ceiling. Notwithstanding, the servers were really attentive, constantly dropping by and asking us how our meal went. The place is currently on soft launch mode, thus there will be some impending menu tweaking. In my humble opinion, there're still plenty of room for improvements. My advise? If you're all in for the food - come back in a few months time when the menu is steadier. If you're merely looking for a place to hang in Hartamas - do drop by, you would love this place.

  2. The 3 Week Diet Review

I think that most people can agree that carrots are thought to be a healthy and tasty snack. They've very convenient and easy to eat on the run. And if you buy the baby, pre washed variety, all you really need to do is find a container for them and then be on your way. But some people have expressed concerns as to whether or not you can eat carrots when you're on Nutrisystem. In the following article, I'll address this concern.
