Fahrenheit 600 @ Publika KL - Beautiful Comfort Food.

My week was insane. I was overloaded with an endless supply of good food, had a fastastic time catching up with new and old mates, as well as some petty errands to run in between.

Nevertheless, this time round, my joy of scouting for feel-good-food brought me to Publika that eventful afternoon.

My meal at Fahrenheit 600 was vibrant, comforting and loaded with fresh ingredients.

Expectations: Homemade, typically Western inspired food, with a lineup of new and interesting dishes every fortnight. On that note, I don't know much about coffee but I thought theirs were pretty great too.

Let's focus on the eating shall we?

The Giggly Duck (Rm23.90) came with not two - but three layers of homemade sliced bread, brushed with fresh avocado and cream cheese spread on each, packed on with sauteed mushrooms and best of all, the smoked duck - my favorite - which was savory and had a fantastic chew.
And no - I didn't forget a photograph of the beautifully poached egg!
Calzone is an Italian oven baked folded pizza, but I'd liked to call it - a gigantic Malaysian curry puff.
We had the Meat Lover (Rm23.90), which came stuffed with generous fillings of juicy roasted beef, minced beef and vegetables. Tip: The pastry is on the thick side so please share.
The Big Cheese (9" for Rm27.90 / 12" for Rm30.90) came laden with melted Feta Cheese, Mozarella, Mascarpone and Parmesan. I'm not too wild about cheeses, so what I really liked about it was the homemade pizza dough. At 600'F, the wood fired oven baked pizza base had toothsome textures and crusty edges. Must try!
The garlic infused Tokyolio (Rm25.90) smell great, I couldn't wait to dig in. I thought the aglio olio was very well-seasoned, intertwined with seafood, edamame beans and added smoked salmon.
The Honey Peach Toast (Rm20.90) was brimming with happiness - or so it looked. Drenched in honey, the toast was caramelised and fluffy, the peaches sweet, and the cereal crumbs added a nice crunch to the overall dish. This is possibly one of the best french toast rendition I've had.
Absolutely love the colors of the plate! The Sea Of Love is a bi-weekly special.
This Valentine's Day inspired dish came generously loaded with folds of cured smoked salmon, cubes of beetroot, curls of fresh cucumber, cuts of cherry tomatoes, stacked on a sliced bread beneath. The poached egg added color but seemed rather redundant on it's own however.
The Pot Plant Affogato (Rm15.90) was a sweet explosion in the mouth, especially amidst the scorching heat. In the cup - vanilla ice cream and chocolate biscuit crumbs, complimented with an espresso shot at the side.
We also sampled a handful of coffees that afternoon. Fahrenheit 600 carries a wide array of coffee beans and a variation of single origins and houseblends. Among my favorite would be the Ethiopia Harfusa, Five Senses coffee.

Overall Rating: 8/10. My lunch was gratifying, my friends thought so too. For me, the food felt conventional yet had a creative flair to it, an added touch if you may, something which I really liked. Moreover, I thought that they have a great knack for presentation - everything looked so good on the plate! I would definitely be back!
