I ordered 2 dishes - Chili Pate Mee and Duck Hoisin Sandwich. I enjoyed the former more however my friend preferred the latter.
Fans of pâté, the Chili Pâté Mee (RM32) was a match made in heaven. The dollop of chicken liver pate was probably my highlight of the dish - it was buttery and addictive. The handmade toasted rye noodles was chewy (a little too chewy in fact), topped with minced chicken, ikan bilis and kicap egg. The dry chili oil at the side completed the dish perfectly. More of that please!
As for the Duck Hoisin Sandwich (RM26), it came layered with thick cuts of tender shredded roast duck, slathered in hoisin sauce (trust me - this combination would never go wrong), sprinkled with crushed wanton skin (that's something new). I thought the overall taste was a tad savory, though I had no problems polishing everything up. The dish also comes with a serving of salad and handcut potato crisp.
Overall Rating: 8/10. I'd definitely recommend both the dishes I had and would return to sample the beef brisket sandwich and desserts (I heard the bundt cakes are real good).
