Recently, I attended one of Big Onion's hosted wedding dinners at Glasshouse At Seputeh, KL. The wedding setup was lovely, overseen by floor staff that was dressed smartly in black uniforms, ready as ever to assist.
Rest assured, there were no gate-crashing involved.
The 4-Course Dinner Menu that I will be highlighting below, was customized and beautifully prepared for this joyous wedding occasion. On that note, all food served are Halal Certified.
Before dinner, canapes were being carried around on wooden platters, and what I had was tasty and moreish. There were spoons of rolled smoked salmon roulade, party-sized wantons filled with smoked duck, and poached prawns on toasties.
When the appetizer came, my eyes literally gawked at the size of the Hokkaido Scallops. It was not only plump, but also juicy and mouthwatering. The accompanying salad was excellent, with crisp greens, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, in a cool and tangy balsamic dressing.
Followed by a bowl of creamy Mushroom Soup, which had perfect consistency, together with a stick of crisp garlic bread at the side.
Next, main course, that came with two variety of meats on one dish - fish and chicken.
The Grilled Salmon Fillet was incredibly fine, moist without being overly flaky, and had vibrant colors. The Chicken Roulade on the other hand, had toothsome textures, and I was thrilled to discover an assortment of delicious mushrooms hidden inside. The dish was served with orange pepper sauce and vegetables.
For dessert, the Salted Caramel Panna Cotta was equally pleasurable. A smooth and very sweet pudding topped with chopped walnuts and fresh berries. What a wonderful treat to end the meal, or should I say, feast?
Overall, dinner was fabulous, relaxed and informal, and I appreciated the finesse and flavors of each dish served. Thank you Big Onion for having me.
