After Taking The SOS UV Porcelain+ For 30 Days.

“While beautiful skin begins with a proper skincare regime, the best way to start is from within.” I have have heard this saying countless of times, but does it really work that way though?

I have always been intrigued on the effectiveness of oral skin supplements. So when I heard about Science On Skin, a brand that carries a line of dermatologist-formulated skincare products, which have also recently introduced it's own oral skin supplement, called SOS UV Porcelain+, I figured I'd give it a go.

There are 30 capsules in a box, to be consumed daily, for a duration of 30 days. As stated on the box, each 750mg capsule is hygienically packed in individual blisters, containing 250mg of L-Glutathione, 240gm Polypodium Leucotamos Extract, 114mg of Vitamin C and 100mg of Collagen Peptide.

For the past 30 days, I took 1 capsule, every morning on an empty stomach, before I left home for work. 

Priced at RM399.00, the SOS UV Porcelain+ is manufactured in the USA and certified by the US FDA. Not cheap, clearly, but if it works, why not? Let's see if it's worth the hype.

In the first 7 days, I took the supplement diligently, everyday in the morning. Though sadly to say, my skin didn't look much different, but then again, 7 days is just too short a period to tell.
 
Over the next couple of weeks, my skin felt a slight boost of moisture, more bouncier perhaps, primarily from it's collagen peptide content.

The supplement was also meant to provide broad spectrum UVA and UVB protection towards sun sensitivity. Thus, it gave my skin an added external barrier of protection against harmful sun damage, and at the same time, controlled melanin production from within.
 
Now, I also have to reiterate that oral supplements are not a replacement for external application of sunblock, it simply acts as added protection. Remember to apply sunblock!

The best part of the supplement for me, over the entire 30-day course, was the gradual and noticeable improvement in my skin tone and color, which brightened and glowed. Even my friends noticed it! The acclaimed Alpha-Porcelain formulation was clearly doing it's magic.

I would also like to disclaimed that while I was consuming this supplement, I was also going for my bi-weekly laser treatments. I was told that all together, my skin would perform the best this way, and needless to say, it did, and it worked like a gem.
