The Restaurant:
An American gourmet, fine food, groceries and gifts restaurant. The Pavilion Malaysian branch only serves food and a very limited number of off-the-shelf goodies.
The Food:
My first taste of Dean & Deluca was in fact at Central Embassy, Bangkok (picture below taken way back in 2014), where I had one of the most memorable tea time experience, that have since left a on my eat list. The Dean & Deluca franchise carries an array of not only freshly cooked food items and pastries, but also some off the shelf gourmet fine foods and gift baskets. I recently visited the newly opened Malaysian outlet in Pavilion KL and had a taste of their Hot Chocolate and Latte - both of which I thought were perfectly done. Though I was quite disappointed with their limited menu items and goodies.
Overall Rating: 8/10.
I'm biased, perhaps. I enjoyed my coffee and will probably be back for another cuppa, but with the mass number of break and brunch eateries in Pavilion KL, I highly doubt that I will return just for the food. Plus, I didn't exactly feel the same cafe vibes that I did in Bangkok, here.
