I was told that Iketeru was really popular for a few things - Teppanyaki, Tempura, and Sashimi, all of which I had a jolly time tasting last weekend, during The Hungry Deal, an all-you-can-eat Japanese a la carte buffet. My favorites? Australian black angus sirloin and the Halibut Teppanyaki. Don't forget to take a picture or two at the picturesque Japanese garden exterior.

Despite being an age-long establishment, it was my first time visiting Chynna at Hilton KL that evening, where I got a taste of some of their traditional Cantonese and Shanghainese offerings.
I had a hearty and wholesome beginning with the Sun-dried Scallops Borth with Chia Seed, Shredded Chicken and Bamboo Piths (RM35) soup. Dinner was followed by a freshly steamed Jade Perch Fish in Soy Sauce, meant to be shared, and a scrumptious serving of Wok-fried Butter Prawns (RM138), that came huge and which I couldn't get enough of. These were my favorites of the evening.
If you're a fan of soft shell crab, you can't go wrong with the Salted Egg Soft Shell Crab (RM78). The Wok-fried Beef Tenderloin Cubes (RM118) was sticky and had toothsome textures, though a tad salty for my liking, whereas I thought the Honey Glazed Chicken wth Crispy Ginger Flakes (RM58) was delicious.
For desserts, I'd recommend the Musang King Special (RM38). I also tried the Chilled Lemongrass Jelly with Aloe Vera and Lemon Sorbet (RM25) and Chilled Coralweed with Ginseng and Wolfberry (RM25).

That evening, I had a taste of Chef Darious Special Menu, and what I had was classically scrumptious.

To nibble before everything else, complimentary Focaccia with Truffle Butter. The first course came in the form of Beef Tartar with Quail Egg. This raw beef appetizer wasn't exactly my fancy, though my friend enjoyed it a lot. It was my first time having Escargot Bourguignon stacked high, I enjoyed every buttery mouthful of this, but the seafood Bouilabaisse was probably my favorite that evening, it was rich and packed full of flavors. |
For main course, you'd get to pick between the Herb Crusted Norwegian Salmon or the Pan Seared Veal Medallions. I'd recommend the former, the fish was very fresh, nicely flaked and the crust simply added texture to the overall dish. The Chocolate Mousse was served as a dessert. A different wine pairing was served with every dish. |
Not part of the 5-course menu, I also sampled some of Graze's other signature offerings. The Foie gras torchon (RM72), Pan Seared Scallop (RM88) and Summer Gazpacho (RM42), that was served chilled, and probably not a soup dish that would fit the local tastebuds. |
5. AVIARY BAR JUNGLE BIRD & RUM COCKTAILS IN KL
Stepping foot into the home of internationally renowned tiki cocktail, the Jungle Bird. Aviary Bar sets in a cozy atmosphere fit for after-work drinks and also casual getogethers, in an elegant curved wall that arches out from a softly-lit bar area, set at the Lobby Level of Hilton KL. The bar also carries a decent range of champagne, wine, hard liquor and specially crafted cocktails.Chynna Menu & Prices Here ➡️ https://life.hiltonkl.com/aviarybar
It's all about Jamaican Dark Rum at Aviary Bar, Hilton KL. The Original Jungle Bird (RM40) is the must-try cocktail here, consisting of a blend of Jamaican dark rum, Campari, Lime squeeze and Fresh pineapple juice - dry, sweet, sour and with a nice kick to it. The Garden Martini (RM60) was my favorite however - exceedingly smooth, with hints of monin elderflower, chilled apple juice and fresh thyme.
Wahh semua atas atas punya, bojio!
