Again, if you've missed out on the previous write-ups, this series of aesthetic treatments are part of my self care regime, to not only minimally enhance my appearance here and there, but also ultimately as a confidence booster.

Dr. Pei Nee was my designated doctor for the day. Again, like all resident doctors here, she was knowlegeable and took the time to explain the treatment process, addressing all my key concerns.

I wanted to reduce my laugh lines, by adding a little volumn to my nasolabial lines, something which have been bothering me of late. 

To begin with, I'm entirely sure when my nasolabial lines started to become so hollow. Was it after I had my braces remove - a process which definitely slim down parts of my face? Or was this simply caused by the natural process of aging? 

I'm not entirely sure of it's root cause, but what I do know, is that there's a quick and easy fix to this worry, though again I have to note that aesthetic treatments like these are not permanent in nature, and would typically last for only about 9 months, with proper care. It is also not meant to give dramatic changes, but merely minimal enhancements.

#1 Session : Filler Treatment

A teeny amount of Filler (Juvederm) was filled into the slighltly sunken areas on my nasolabial lines, through 2 very tiny incision on each side of my nostrils. I had numbing cream on for about 15-minutes to minimize the discomfort. It took only about 5 minutes to complete the session. Optimum results can be seen after 10-14 days and can lasts for about 9 months with proper care.

It was a very simple and quick session performed by Dr. Pei Nee and assisted by her friendly assistants. In that regard, she was very gentle and precise, I felt little to no pain at all. If I were to rate my pain-level of this treatment - it was a 1/10. I felt just a tiny little prick and before I know it, it was all done.

There was no downtime to this treatment and I was giving a small tub of bruising cream to take home, just in case. Luckily for me however, I did not have to use the cream, there was no bruising for me whatsoever. 

The only immediate effect that I felt right after the treatment was a slightly numbness to my upper lip area, which quickly went off after a mere 5-10 minutes. There was no redness and close to no tissue swelling on the injection site.

Post treatment, I did feel a slight pinch on the right side of my nasolabial area, which went off in about a day.

I was pre-informed also that the hyluronic acid content in fillers typically expand in volumn overtime, as it absorbs water from it's surrounding tissue, hence optimum results can only be seen after 2 weeks.

After 2 weeks, I did see a little bit of volumn lift and my smile felt a little less hagard compared to before.
