It has been awhile since I've written about food and gosh - I really miss doing so.
Just last weekend, I visited the newly opened Grub for dinner, located at the slightly quieter side of Section 17, and right opposite Tujoh Cafe.
Grub by Ahong & Friends, serves classic Western dishes with a local twist, and also what I thought to be comfort food for my soul.
This was easily one of the most enjoyable meal I've had in awhile, with each dish having it's own story to tell. The dishes were plated beautifully, alongside simple tastes and textures which complimented each other. Plus, dining here was no-frills, no-fuss, though a little confusing in the beginning, but I got the hang of self-servicing after awhile.
Oh, I also think I spotted Ahong along the way.
First up, I ordered a serving of Steak Cut Chips (RM4) to share, and I couldn't stop munching on these! |
The complimentary fruit platter was possibly one of the swankiest-looking one around. And yes, you heard right, it's on the house. |
Overall Rating: 8.5/10. I really enjoyed my meal here, it was clearly value for money, and I would definitely revisit real soon. Tip: Sit upstairs. It may get a little warm downstairs.
